CONCLUSION: So to wrap up this review, we gave the Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 SP VC lens a 47.5/50 and our Highly recommended rating.

THE FINAL WORD: If you’re considering getting into wide angle shooting and you’re a canon or Nikon shooter then the Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 VC lens represents a well built, optical superior lens complete with image stabilization and advanced lens coatings that do an effective job of reducing flare and chromatic aberrations. You give up one 1 millimeter on the wide end to the Nikon, but you gain 1 millimeter over the venerable Canon 16-35 – and the Tamron handles flare much better than both of those lenses and all at a price point that is considerably less than all of the first party competitors. The only thing that prevents this lens from getting our editors choice award is that unfortunately, it’s not weather sealed…
